The meeting held on December 14, 2021, was attended by the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the State Examination Center (SEC) Maleyka Abbaszade, Deputy Chairman Namig Babayev, Head of the Strategic Development Department Vali Huseyn, Head of Russian Information and Cultural Centre in Baku (РИКЦ) Irek Zinnurov and his Deputy Alexander Kalamin.
Prior to the meeting, the guests were presented an exposition at the SEC museum which reflects the accomplished milestones since the establishment of the national assessment system.
A number of publications were also introduced to the guests and discussions were held between the senior officials of the two institutions. The Chairperson of the SEC’s Board of Directors Maleyka Abbaszade noted that in recent years a number of achievements have been made in the field of educational assessment and research between the relevant agencies of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation. The guests were given detailed information on the analysis conducted by the SEC, and the 12th issue of the "Abituriyent" journal was demonstrated. The journal covers the scientific and statistical analysis of the results of students’ admission and final exams for general education institutions in different academic years. The Chairperson provided the statistics on the performance of entrants in the Russian section in the 2020/2021 academic year.
The parties discussed the following areas:

Participation of the SEC in the selection commission for the admission of students to the Russian Federation within the country quota;

Establishment of a preparation center at the РИКЦ to promote the TORFL (Test of Russian as a Foreign Language) organized by the SEC;

Holding a joint annual information session on admission to higher education institutions of the Russian Federation;

Providing opportunities for Russian language teachers cooperating with the SEC to join professional development trainings and other issues.
The head of the РИКЦ expressed his positive comments on strengthening relations between the SEC and the РИКЦ and put forward proposals for potential areas of cooperation.
At the end of the meeting, the sides stressed the importance of developing a roadmap for cooperation between the parties.
