General information
On September 25, 2019, the State Examination Center (SEC) officially partnered with the Cambridge University Press & Assessment by signing a Memorandum of Understanding. As of July 2020, the SEC is one of the official representatives and functions as one of Cambridge's official testing centers in the country.
Cambridge English Qualifications are a graduated series of exams designed to assess competency in English for learners of English as a second or foreign language. As part of the University of Cambridge, Cambridge Assessment helps millions of people learn English and prove their skills to the world by making learning enjoyable, effective and rewarding. They motivate people of all ages and abilities to learn English and develop practical skills for the real world. Cambridge English exams are recognized by over 25,000 universities, employers and governments around the world.
As an official test center, the SEC offers the Cambridge English Qualifications, Cambridge English Teaching and LinguaSkill exams. The SEC also organizes the Cambridge English Placement Test (CEPT) on demand.
1. Cambridge English Qualifications (CEQ)
CEQ is a series of exams designed to assess English language skills for learners of English as a second or foreign language. Each exam focuses on a level of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR), helping learners to improve their speaking, writing, reading and listening skills step by step. CEQ offers relevant exams in 4 areas.

Young Learners
These qualifications are specifically designed for school-age learners. They provide a strong foundation and learning framework to help children and teenagers gain confidence and improve their English language skills. Every child gets a certificate which is recognized worldwide.
- Pre A1 Starters
This is the first of three exams for young learners. All three exams help younger children take their first steps towards learning English. There is no pass or fail – every child gets a certificate which celebrates their achievement.
- A1 Movers
This is the second exam created specifically for younger children. All our exams for young learners are fun, colorful and activity based, motivating children to learn.
- A2 Flyers
This is the third exam created specifically for younger children. These exams build young learners’ confidence and lay the foundations for future success in English.
Schools
- A2 Key for Schools
This qualification helps learners to fully develop their everyday written and spoken English at Level A2. The exam builds on the skills students have achieved at A2 Flyers.
- B1 Preliminary for Schools
This is an intermediate-level qualification for students who have mastered the basics of English and now have practical language skills for everyday use.
- B2 First for Schools
This qualification is a great way for learners to prepare for higher level exams, and shows they have the language skills needed to communicate confidently in an English-speaking environment.
- C1 Advanced
This is proof of high-level achievement in English and the ideal qualification for students preparing for university or professional life.
- C2 Proficiency
This is our highest level qualification and it shows the world your learners have mastered English to an exceptional level.
General and higher education
These qualifications are for learners who need English for career and higher education purposes. Whatever your goals, they will give you the skills to succeed.
- A2 Key
This qualification is proof of your ability to use English to communicate in simple situations. A2 Key is a great exam to take if you’re new to learning English.
- B1 Preliminary
This is an intermediate-level qualification for those who have mastered the basics of English and now have practical language skills for everyday use.
- B2 First
This qualification shows you have the language skills needed to communicate confidently in an English-speaking environment.
- C1 Advanced

2. Cambridge English Teaching Qualifications
English Teaching qualifications provide industry-leading English teaching qualifications that prove what teachers of English can do. TKT is one of the Cambridge English Teaching qualifications that test your knowledge in specific areas of English language teaching. It will help you to build your confidence, and is a cost-effective way to get an internationally recognized qualification. Whether you are a new teacher or have years of experience, TKT is ideal for people who need to prove their teaching knowledge with a globally recognized certificate.
You can take as many modules as you want, over any time period. You receive a Cambridge English certificate for each module you complete.

3. LinguaSkill
Linguaskill is a quick and convenient online test to help organizations check the English levels of individuals and groups of candidates, powered by Artificial Intelligence technology. It tests all four language skills - speaking, writing, reading and listening - in modules.
It provides accurate results within 48 hours and is easy to administer; you can administer the test at any time or place, even to candidates at home. Results are aligned to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR), the international standard for describing language ability.
