The State Examination Center (SEC) supports the promotion of the International Olympiad "Russian as a foreign language", organized by its international partner St. Petersburg State University (SPBU) from 2020.
Maleyka Abbaszadeh awarded 24 winners out of 293 candidates representing Azerbaijan at the SPDU II International Online Olympiad in Russian, which was held on April 6, 2020. They were presented a special voucher for the practice tests of the SEC, diplomas, commemorative awards, textbooks on the Russian language and free vouchers for the Test of Russian as a Foreign Language (TORFL).
Speaking at the award ceremony, Maleyka Abbaszadeh highlighted the importance of the Olympiads in the development and talent acquisition of young people, and congratulated the winners.
It should be noted that the winners were given special vouchers for the tests administered by the SEC. These vouchers will allow them to register for various types of practice tests via otk.az website free of charge. Winners will also be able to receive free textbooks published by the SEC to help preparing for school-leaving and admission exams.
In addition, successful candidates can register for the international TORFL exam organized by the SEC using vouchers issued by Saint Petersburg University.
Svetlana Bolotseva, Olympiad Coordinator of Saint Petersburg University, who joined the event online, also expressed satisfaction with the active participation of Azerbaijani youth in such international Olympiads and congratulated the winners.
It should be noted that 9549 candidates from 147 countries (including 293 candidates from Azerbaijan) took part in the Olympiad. 945 of them (including 38 from Azerbaijan) were successful.
