Information about the international ICDL examinations conducted by the SEC has been included in the UNESCO Report entitled “A Global Framework of Reference on Digital Literacy Skills for Indicator 4.4.2”. The Document also presents a comparative analysis of these examinations with the international standards on ICT literacy and other international examinations in this regard.
The UNESCO Report “A Global Framework of Reference on Digital Literacy Skills for Indicator 4.4.2” that has been developed within the framework of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) thematic Indicator 4.4 is based on the studies carried out in over 50 countries and includes descriptive comparison concerning the following examinations:
- International Computer Driving Licence (ICDL) — adopted in 31 countries;
- Certiport Internet and Computing Core Certification (IC³) — adopted in 13 countries;
- Microsoft Digital Literacy Standard Curriculum — adopted in 11 countries.
Since November 2020, the State Examination Center (SEC) as the only Accredited Testing Center in Azerbaijan approved by ICDL Europe conducts ICDL examinations for candidates wishing to certify their computer skills.
