Starting this year, all SAT exams move from paper and pencil to digital format. The first digital SAT exam was held at the State Examination Center on March 11.
Here are the main points regarding the computer-based SAT exam:
Address:
Administrative building of the SEC, located at 299, Hasan Aliyev street, Nasimi district.
Laptop/tablet:
Test takers must download the software specifically designed for the SAT test to their laptop or tablet before the test day.
If a test taker does not have a laptop or tablet, he/she may file a request to the College Board to temporarily be provided with a laptop/tablet for the test. A laptop or tablet will be available at the Center on test day for those who have sent a request to the College Board before the test. If a test taker is unable to bring his/her laptop or tablet to the test center and has not requested the College Board's laptop/tablet, that test taker will not be allowed to the test center.
Duration:
The digital SAT test lasts 2 hours and consists of two sections (Reading, Writing and Math) with a 10-minute break between them.
Software:
The software will provide the following functionality for test takers:
- The bookmark icon to flag any question you want to come back;
- A timer showing how much time is remaining in each part of the test (on top of the screen that can be shown or hidden);
- A built-in calculator for tests with math questions (test takers can also bring their own calculators)
- A reference sheet with commonly used formulas on all tests with math questions

What to bring to the test?
Test takers should come to the venue with the requested items listed below:
1. Photo ID or passport;
2. Admission Ticket;
3. Laptop or tablet (with charger) addressing the College Board requirements.
In the absence of one of the mentioned documents or inconsistency between the documents, the test taker is not allowed to the test center. Participants may also bring a calculator, pen or pencil for taking notes, and other items to the test. The paper for draft is provided at the test center.
