Four employees of the State Examination Center (SEC) attended “The Propell® Workshop for Teachers” online practical program conducted by the ETS Global Turkey office on August 18-20, 2021.
“The Propell® Workshop for Teachers” is a professional development program designed to help English-language teachers meet the challenges of teaching English. The workshop provides the teachers with useful instructional techniques and strategies for using the integrated-skills approach to teaching language.
During the workshop, examples from the Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing sections of the TOEFL iBT have been used and the participants have been informed about the activities and materials, as well as the assessment features with regard to each of these four sections that are assessed in TOEFL iBT®.
Speaker of the workshop Yasemin Arshin has been working as Academic Relations & ELT Coordinator at Istanbul Office of the ETS Global since 2016. Previously, she had been teaching academic English at various educational institutions in Ankara for 10 years.
To note that within the collaboration between the SEC and ETS Global, Yasemin Arshin conducted numerous online events concerning TOEFL iBT® and GRE® tests. At the same time, the SEC, as an official testing center of ETS (Educational Testing Service), carries out TOEFL iBT® since 2016.
The next TOEFL iBT test at the SEC is expected to be held on August 28.
