On February 3, 2026, a meeting was held at the State Examination Centre with representatives of the leading assessment organization of Great Britain, "AQA Global" Assessment Service, who were on a business visit to Baku.
The meeting was attended by the Chairperson of the Board of the State Examinations Center, Maleyka Abbaszadeh, a delegation led by Sean Smith, Deputy Director for Skills of the AQA Global Assessment Service, and the heads of relevant structural divisions of the State Examinations Council.
During the meeting, proposals submitted by the AQA Global Assessment Service on conducting a comparative analysis of the entrance exams to higher education institutions and the "A-Level" exams conducted by the State Examination Centre were discussed. During the discussions, views were exchanged on the scope and methodology of the proposed study, as well as the harmonization of international and national assessment standards.
During the meeting, opportunities for improving the quality of the assessment process, studying international experience, improving assessment tools, and applying modern approaches in this area were also considered. At the same time, discussions were held between the SEC and the AQA Global Assessment Service on future cooperation prospects, including the possibility of conducting joint research in the field of valuation.
