General information
SAT (Scholastic Aptitude/Assessment Test) is a standardized test to measure reading, writing and Math skills of secondary school students. The SAT test score is valid for 5 years and it’s taken by more than two million students every year.
SAT scores are internationally recognized and accepted as an objective indicator allowing to assess the preparation of the school graduates during the admission process to universities and colleges in the U.S. and other countries. SAT score allows the admission commissions of higher education institutions to compare the school graduates filing application on the same scale, and is also considered an objective source in determining their decisions to grant scholarship.
In late 2014, with the support of ETS (Educational Testing Service) of the U.S., an agreement has been reached on granting the SEC (former SSAC) to become a testing center to conduct the SAT test developed by College Board in the Republic of Azerbaijan. In accordance with the agreement, the State Examination Center (SEC) has been registered with code number 60129 in the database of the SAT.
